I get people that ask me ALL the time what exactly Holistic Nutrition is. So here is my short and simplified version of what it is to me …

Holistic Nutrition is a whole body approach to wellness. Focusing in primarily on digestive health, a Holistic Nutritionist takes into account whole body health and the entire health history of an individual. By using dietary, supplemental and lifestyle alterations a Holistic Nutritionist helps you to get back your health in a manageable way.

Rather than a one time procedure or pill, Holistic Nutrition is a preventative practice that involves the change of your lifestyle to set your body up for success in the long run. Using mindful practices to improve your physical, mental and emotional health Holistic Nutrition is used to prevent and deter disease.

The saying “you are what you eat” may sound redundant or basic but it is incredibly true. Everything you put in or on your body has an effect on your body as a whole. This is something we often look past in this present day when we eat and even use self-care products. Your body needs nutrients to thrive and when it is deprived of them due to lack of quality in your food or inability to properly digest. This is what eventually leads to issues within your body such as disease or imbalances. Food genuinely is and can be your medicine.
